What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It

Information collected directly from you: Generally, you can visit iVirtuAssist’s websites without entering any personal information. Within our software or on certain web pages, we may ask you for personal information to provide a service or carry out a transaction that you have requested. The personal information we collect may include: contact details, such as your name, title, company/organization name, e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers, and physical address; information about your company, and job function; your e-mail marketing preferences; financial information (including credit card or account information); information such as your nationality and country of residence that allows us to determine your eligibility under export control regulations to receive information about certain technologies; information used to customize and facilitate your use of our websites, including login and preferences such as time zone, and units; inquiries about and orders for our products and services; information that assists us in identifying the products and services that best meet your requirements; event registration information; and feedback from you about our websites and our products and services generally.

Information collected automatically: We collect information about your visit to our sites, including what pages you view, the number of bytes transferred, the links you click, the materials you access, and other actions taken within iVirtuAssist’s systems. Within systems that you enter with a user ID, we may connect this information with your identity to determine your access and potential interests in our products and services. Although comments are not permitted on our any of our websites, there may be rare occasions when the public may be allowed leave comments on our website. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.


Although media uploads are typically not permitted on our any of our websites, there may be rare occasions when the public may be allowed to upload information on our website. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

Except as described below, personal information you provide to iVirtuAssist through our websites or systems will not be shared outside of iVirtuAssist and its controlled subsidiaries and affiliates without your permission.

Disclosure to service providers: iVirtuAssist contracts with other companies to provide services on our behalf, such as hosting software services, websites, sending out information, processing transactions, marketing, and analyzing our websites. We provide these companies with only those elements of your personal information they need to deliver those services. These companies and their employees are prohibited from using that personal information for any other purpose.

Disclosure to contracted organizations: iVirtuAssist contracts with other organizations to provide services on their behalf top their employees. Should iVirtuAssist have a contract to provide services to your employer, iVirtuAssist reserves the right release your information to your employer only as long as you are employed by the specific organization making the request.

Disclosure to distributors: In responding to a request made by you, we may share your personal information with companies that distribute our products. In those cases, we provide these companies with only those elements of your personal information they need to respond to your request, and these companies and their employees are prohibited from using that personal information for any other purpose.
